OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN PICKS UP STEAM IN IOWA
Barack Obama wowed attendees at the Iowa Democratic Party’s Jefferson-Jackson dinner last Saturday night. “If we are really serious about winning this election, Democrats, then we can’t live in fear of losing,” Obama said. “This party, the party of Jefferson and Jackson and Roosevelt and Kennedy, has always made the biggest difference in the lives of the American people when we led not by polls but by principle, not by calculation but by conviction, when we summoned the entire nation to… a higher purpose.”
As reported on CBSnews.com, politico David Yepsen said that “It was one of the best of his campaign. The passion he showed should help him close the gap on Hillary Clinton… Saturday’s dinner will be remembered as one of the turning points in his campaign…”
Obama’s charisma makes him a natural leader and it’s good to see that his campaign is hitting its stride in Iowa. It’s fair to say it will be down to Hillary and Obama on the January 3rd primary. Whoever comes out ahead in Iowa, however, America will be the winner when the Democrats take back the White House next November!
